The pineapple has its botanical name as Ananas Comosus (now, that’s a mouth full) is a tropical plant. The pineapple has multiple edible fruits consisting of coalesced berries. Now let me explain that. The pineapple fruit is not one whole fruit like the orange or mango, but a lot of berries fused together. Essentially every “checked box” you see on the fruit is an individual berry. The varieties of pineapples we consume and have significant economic value belong to the plant family of Bromeliaceae. Sugarcane juice is not only like any other sweet juice but it has many other nutrients. Sugarcane juice is extracted from the cane by pressing it through iron rollers. It is nutritious and refreshing. It contains about 15 % natural sugar and is rich in organic salts and vitamins. The juice can also be used for drinking or sweetening. Tiger nuts affectionately called atadwe is very popular and every Ghanaian knows it, well if you don’t you will, by the end of this post. Tiger-nuts are very popular among Ghanaian men due to their perceived property as a sexual stimulant.
